AP Computer Science Principles
Computer science is everywhere, from our smartphones and video games to music, medicine, and much more. AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) can help you understand how computing and technology influence the world around you. Learn how to creatively address real-world issues while using the same tools and processes that artists, writers, computer scientists, and engineers use to bring ideas to life.

AP Computer Science Principles introduces students to the foundations of computer science with a focus on how computing powers the world. Along with the fundamentals of computing, students will learn to analyze data, create technology that has a practical impact, and gain a broader understanding of how computer science impacts people and society. Students who successfully complete the course and examination may receive credit and/or advanced placement for a one-semester college computer science course.

AP Statistics
Develop analytical and critical thinking skills as you learn to describe data patterns and departures from patterns, plan and conduct studies, use probability and simulation to explore random phenomena, estimate population parameters, test hypotheses, and make statistical inferences.

AP Statistics introduces students to major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students are exposed to four broad conceptual themes:

  • Exploring Data: Describing patterns and departures from patterns
  • Sampling and Experimentation: Planning and conducting a study
  • Anticipating Patterns: Exploring random phenomena using probability and simulation
  • Statistical Inference: Estimating population parameters and testing hypotheses

Students who successfully complete the course and examination may receive credit and/or advanced placement for a one-semester introductory college statistics course.
